Get ready for one of the most exciting evenings of the summer as The Official Test Centre hosts its annual RNLI Mega SUP Race on Thursday 6th August 2026.
Whether you’re racing to win or simply looking for a fantastic evening on the water with friends, this fun-filled charity event promises plenty of action, laughter and community spirit – all while raising money for the RNLI.

Event Schedule
Date: Thursday 6th Augustm 2026
Arrival: From 5:00pm to complete waiver forms, make payment and soak up the atmosphere.
Race briefing: 5:40pm
First race: 6:00pm
Finish: Approximately 8:30pm
All paddle and safety equipment will be provided, so all you need to do is bring your team and be ready to race.

Team Information
Teams must consist of a minimum of six and a maximum of 10 participants.
Entry costs £10 per person, payable in cash on the day, with all funds raised going directly to the RNLI.
To secure your place, teams must register before Tuesday 4th August. Registration will close after this date so the race layout and event logistics can be finalised.

Make an Evening of It
The racing is only part of the fun.
The Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) will be serving a BBQ and running a bar throughout the evening (available at an additional cost), while The Official Test Centre will provide the music, atmosphere and good vibes that have made this event a summer favourite.
Gather your crew, choose a team name and prepare for a brilliant evening on the water, all in support of the RNLI. Whether you’re fiercely competitive or just in it for the fun, the RNLI Mega SUP Race is an event not to be missed.
